Newton's First Law of Motion

INERTIA
Inertia is a tendency of a body to remain at rest or continue moving uniformly in a straight line provided no external force to act on it
OR
Inertia is the ability of resting body to resist motion (moving body in a straight line) when abruptly stopped

Types of Inertia
There are three types of Inertia include
i)        Inertia of rest
ii)       Inertia of motion
iii)     Inertia of direction
Inertia of Rest
Is the resistance of a body to change its state of rest

Inertia of Motion
Is the resistance of a body to change its state of motion

Inertia of Direction
Is the resistance of a body to change its direction of motion

Where Inertia Law Experience
i)        When the “daladala” suddenly starts, the passengers sitting or standing in the bus tend to fall backwards
ii)       When the “daladala” suddenly stops, the passengers sitting or standing in the bus are thrown forward

THE NEWTON’S FIRST LAW OF MOTION (LAW OF INERTIA)

The Newton’s First Law of Motion states that;

“Everybody will continue be at rest or moving uniformly in a straight line provided no external force acting on it to change its position or state
