Considered Formula
$$\rho = \frac{m}{v}$$ $$\text {Where}~~\rho \to Density,~~~~~ m \to Mass ~~~~~ v \to Volume$$Example 1
A body of mass 40 g has
a volume of 8 cm3. Calculate density
Solution
Mass (m) = 40 g
Volume (v) = 8 cm3
$$\text {Density}(\rho ) = \text {?}$$
$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\rho = \frac{m}{v}$$
$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ = \frac{40}{8}$$
$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ = 5~g/cm^3$$
The density of a body = 5 g/cm3
Example 2
A liquid X of mass 0.06 Kg has volume of
20 cm3. Find the density of the liquid X
Solution
Mass (m) = 0.06 Kg = (0.06 x 1000) g = 60 g
Volume (v) = 20 cm3
$$\text {Density}(\rho ) = \text {?}$$
$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\rho = \frac{m}{v}$$
$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ = \frac{60}{20}$$
$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ = 3~g/cm^3$$
The density of a Liquid X = 3 g/cm3
